TEDxSantaCatalina Chief of Operations:

Loleï ’17

Loleï is a senior day student. An original member of the Santa Catalina TEDx team, this event will mark her fourth year working on the team. She has held the position of club secretary, club president, and now works in an advisory capacity for the current team heads. Speaking about the theme of Legacy, Loleï has remarked, “Here at Santa Catalina, the theme of Legacy is particularly prevalent this year as we are undergoing innovative change while working to maintain our central traditions. On a broader scope, the theme of Legacy is just as vital to our global community as our legacy today will determine the future of our world tomorrow.”

Sylvan ’18

Sylvan is a junior boarding student. Sylvan first joined TEDxSantaCatalinaSchool as a member of the venue team during her sophomore year. She feels so lucky to be able to be co-head this year and lead the team for the 2016 season. Sylvan has always found the concept of  “Ideas worth spreading” to be so inspirational and hopes to grow her legacy alongside all of the young women on the team who have taught her so much about leadership and working together.

Madison ’18

Madison is a junior boarding student.  Madison first joined the TEDxSantaCatalinaSchool team during her sophomore year as a member of the speaker curation team, and is thrilled to be leading this year’s team as co-head.  She has always loved TED and the mission of their organization, and is so excited to continue the tradition of “Ideas worth spreading” through TEDxSantaCatalinaSchool.   

Human Resources: Rowan ’18

Rowan Azhderian is currently a junior boarding student. Rowan joined the TEDxSantaCatalina team as a member of the human resources team during her sophomore year. As the head of the human resources team, Rowan loves to be able to work on so many aspects of the event, and is so happy to have the opportunity to be involved in the TEDxSanta Catalina event once again.

Public Resources: Nicolle ’17

Nikki has attended Santa Catalina since the 6th grade and is a day student . She joined the TEDxSantaCatalina team during her sophomore as a member of the public relation team. After two years of holding various leadership positions for the PR team, Nikki now works with her team to run all social media platforms and promoting TEDxSantaCatalina on campus.

Speaker Curation: Charlotte ’17

Charlotte has attended Santa Catalina since her freshmen year and has been a boarder throughout her entire high school career. She joined the TEDxSantaCatalina team during her junior year as a member of the speaker curation team.  Now, Charlotte is the head of the speaker curation team as well as currently holding many leadership positions at Santa Catalina. She is so glad to be working with the speaker curation team again this year and knows it is going to be another amazing event!

Technology: Jenna ’17

img_8869Jenna is a boarding student.  She has been on the theatrical tech team since her freshmen year and has always been very interested in technology as a whole. With her multiple technological talents and skills, she is able to assist our TEDxSantaCatalina team for the second year in a row!

Venue: Sarah ’17

Sarah is currently a senior at Santa Catalina, and has attended the school since her freshman year. She is very involved in Catalina’s yearbook committee and the visual arts department.  She also enjoys equestrian in her free time and her love of TEDx was sparked when she first attended a TEDxSantaCatalinaSchool event as a sophomore.

Taylor has attended Santa Catalina since her freshman year and is a day student. She joined the TEDxSantaCatalina team during her junior year as a member of the technology team.  Now, Taylor is the head of the website team as well as currently holding many leadership positions at Santa Catalina. She loves working on the website because it one of the ways she hopes to leave a substantial legacy at her high school.
